Great to be part of the Leeds Learning Alliance Conference today hosted at Carr Manor Community School bringing together organisations and individuals passionate about improving the lives of young people. Proud of our CATCH young volunteers helping with the event too. #Inclusion #Collaboration #Ambition
We were invited to the AXA Regional Conference at Headingley Stadium as their nominated charity for 2024. They raised funds for CATCH with a raffle and donations from delegates. Our volunteers also got the chance to meet John Barnes MBE John Barnes. #BusinessInTheCommunity
We asked two of our youngest volunteers to film our newly born guinea pigs and they came back with several clips... how do we nurture this amazing enthusiasm, creativity, talent and energy which exists in many more children and young people… #YouthEmpowerment
Thank you so much to volunteers from St Gemma's Hospice for dropping off Christmas trees🎄🎄which are a fantastic treat for our animals this time of year. Christmas trees are really high in vitamin C, a great antioxidant and really good for their gut health especially for goats.
Every so often it’s good to get some of our volunteers talking… a ‘speed team building’ event after our youth session this evening…. 42 volunteers… 1.30 minutes per conversation… 21 conversations… #YouthCohesion #ItsGoodToTalk #CATCHFamily
2/2) By helping young people nurture strong foundations of knowledge and skill sets, these holiday programmes ultimately create more productive citizens who are willing and able to contribute back to their communities including school. #HolidayHunger
1/2) Week 2 of our #HealthyHolidays programme complete! A combination of indoor & outdoor activities including construction with hot meals provided to children and young people. These activities not only benefit the individual but also have a positive impact on society at large.
100 bales of hay and straw transported to CATCH and then unloaded into our barn by our young volunteers which will hopefully take us through the winter months… it’s tasks such as this that promotes team work and ownership. It’s fun and challenging too! #EducationalFarm 🐐
1/3) Another fantastic night at CATCH for bonfire period diversionary activities in partnership with Active Leeds. Amazing team effort by our volunteers and staff from local schools Hovingham Primary Carr Manor Community School Leeds City Academy volunteering to keep children engaged and safe.
Our #MondayGoatFact by Bianca. Did you know goats are picky eaters? They have sensitive lips, which they use to “mouth” things in search of clean & tasty food. They will often refuse to eat hay that has been walked on. catchleeds.org/educational-fa… #Week44 #OneEarthOneFamilyOurHome 🌎
During the Halloween🎃& Bonfire period🎆(Tuesday 31st October to Sunday 5th November) we will be running a range of activities ⚽️🛼🏓 to keep young people safe & positively engaged. All activities will be free of charge & for ages 9 – 17. Check out our poster below. #PleaseShare
Our #MondayGoatFact by Joe. Did you know legend has it that coffee was discovered by a goat herder. He noticed that his goats were more energetic and didn’t sleep at night after eating berries. catchleeds.org/educational-fa… #AspireToInspire #Week42 #OneEarthOneFamilyOurHome 🌎
