I used to loooove Twitter but its decline continues. Fewer people use the app daily. The breaking news element got weakened. Sad story. Source: buff.ly/3TsITHP

There’s a trickle of aid going into Gaza right now, as the population faces imminent famine. There needs to be a deluge. For every hour that the war goes on, the desperate need increases.

I spoke to Alex Wagner Tonight about the situation on the ground and the work of IRC - International Rescue Committee:

‘’The time has now come to review the policy…at least for the disrespect on international humanitarian law that has happened on Israel's side.’’

So sorry to hear Hella Pick has died, at 94. She was one of a kind & we were privileged that, well into her 90s, she wrote for Prospect This was a sweeping piece comparing the world she fled on Kindertransport in 1939 with Putin today prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/38623…

My appeal BBC Radio 4 Today yesterday for the UK to suspend arms exports to Israel seems to have generated some interest. It was not a knee-jerk reaction to one awful incident. The deaths of the 7 aid workers brought into sharp focus a deep underlying problem. This was my argument 1/6

We support the rule of law, human rights, multilateralism and the international rules based system. We just don’t like “foreign courts” that stop us contravening them.

The devastating Israeli airstrikes that killed World Central Kitchen personnel yesterday bring the number of aid workers killed in this conflict to 196 – including more than 175 members of our own United Nations staff.

This is unconscionable.

Agreed. Ukraine is in a struggle for its existence as a sovereign country and is using US weapons to defend against enemy forces on its territory.

What a dark day for opera in the UK. As ENO gives its last performance before the whole company is fired and re-hired as a seasonal company, it is announced that WNO is reducing orchestra contracts. Presumably other departments will also be cut. Arts Council England is a disgrace. 😡😢

So far as I can see the only government in the Middle East that might think it has an interest in a wider regional inter-state escalation is that of Israel. And perhaps the only one outside the Middle East is Russia.
