ABBA were no doubt an amazing pop act but are far removed from the roots of the culture.
So we will have to disagree. 🙏

For the BBC to include ABBA, Leo Sayer & Tina Charles, John Paul Young compounds their selection. A horrific take on a culture steeped in soul! They have simply whitewashed the genre. These are the records that killed Disco! Zero soul!

Out of all the incredible archive footage the @bbc must have in their vaults they pick YMCA, Laura Branagan - Gloria & Gloria Gaynor - I Am What I Am to highlight Disco as a genre.

I pray the pending doc is significantly better in its curation 🙏
