I was told that in my intensive care ward (March-June 2020), on one occasion while they were treating me, they opened up a pack of PPE and it was second hand. There was blood on one of the items. Do you think this country was ready for a pandemic?

Pandemic planning in this country was for a flu one not a SARS one so yes,we weren’t prepared with aprons &visors

My husband is a hospital Dr - he never went without PPE and our area was worst hit outside London in that first wave

That Dr says it was a new package from China with blood on it
