Wealth inequality is some crazy s*** to really try & wrap your mind around. Like I was reading how systemic racism forced Black Americans off of farmland resulting in a loss of $250-350B. That same amount of wealth is concentrated among THREE ppl today—Bezos, Gates & Zuckerberg

Folks’ obsession with 1619 Project only looks more foolish the more time & energy is spent on it because it so clearly has little to do with concern over historical accuracy & a lot to do with their discomfort over the current day reckoning with ongoing structural racism.//

You have to be almost completely lacking in historical awareness to not grasp that the slave trade is the most consequential event of modern world history, 16th century to now. It established the modern world order. There is no event in US history that wasn’t shaped by slavery.

So thankful to @UMDHPAO for having @BrianClarkMD and I talk to the pre health students at our alma mater. These conversations about imposter syndrome are super important to have.

There’s a whole generation of young Black folks between the ages of 28-35 who are actively reimagining & actively living visions of success that decenter & disrupt capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy. And I really love that for us.

Remember to ask from your heart. Speak it. Ask for healing, clarity, peace, wisdom, and guidance. Ask for abundance, creativity, light, and love. Don’t be timid in your request. Be bold. Be positive. Be grateful as everything you’re asking for is already making its way to you.

What is happening in Tenn. with Rep. Justin Jones & Justin J. Pearson shows that the fight for U.S. democracy was not resolved in the last election, that what can't be done at the federal level will be executed in the state house. These are end of Reconstruction,Jim Crow-era tactics.
