🚫SCAM ALERT🚫
Both myself and the City of Kingston - Municipal Government’s traffic court prosecutor received this fraudulent text message at virtually the same time, so we imagine this probably went out to many residents with Kingston area codes. Block and do not click on the link or reply.
A reminder for the #ygk area when our Kingston Police Traffic Safety is conducting a collision reconstruction. While my experience is most local drone operators I’ve met are professional, flying lawfully, and are respectful of police operations and victims’ families, some are unaware of rules.
On National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week we celebrate and thank our Communications Unit members. These call-takers and 911 dispatchers are the voice and ears of the Kingston Police, keeping our members and the community safe and connected! #NPSTW #EveryDayHeroes
Congratulations to Special Olympics Ontario President & CEO Glenn MacDonell, who has announced his retirement as of June 30. Glenn gave 35 years of outstanding leadership, compassion, & stewardship to this amazing organization. We are proud to have Torch Run Ontario as our charity of choice
The following podcast by The Globe and Mail’s ‘The Decibel’ podcast was quite informative on the upcoming total solar eclipse: podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/wha…
Mark your calendars!
On April 8, some parts of Ontario will experience a #TotalSolarEclipse between 2:00-4:30 p.m., lasting up to 3 minutes depending on your location.
It is not safe to look at the sun without proper and undamaged eye protection during the eclipse.
Cst. Anthony Hampton swiftly acted and brought justice for his nominee, whose ID was stolen to defraud various institutions in Kingston. His nominee is grateful for his dedication, attention to detail, and speedy conviction. Congratulations on your #PoliceHero Award nomination,…
The City of Kingston - Municipal Government currently has its seasonal load restrictions in effect from March 1 to April 30. See Traffic Bylaw Sec. 4.44 and Schedule F-2 for details and specified roads: cityofkingston.ca/documents/1018…
The Kingston Law Enforcement Torch Ride has been posted to the provincial website: torchrideontario.com
Registration will be open soon but please bookmark this and block off your calendar for June 8. Should be an amazing and enjoyable day while also supporting Special Olympics Ontario.
