“This is not complicated: The University of Florida is not a daycare, and we do not treat protesters like children — they knew the rules, they broke the rules, and they’ll face the consequences.”

Happy National !

Record inflation has burdened hardworking Americans, but I am working hard to promote solutions. Read more from Rep. Randy Feenstra on our bill to empower small businesses and improve access to child care for families with dependents.

Rhule says of today’s game “hopefully we were able to bring people some joy after a dark day yesterday”. And that, friends, is why Nebraska football matters. It’s why sports matter.

The teamwork and expertise between NWS Storm Prediction Center, NWS Omaha, emergency management, and broadcast media saved countless lives yesterday. A truly heroic and tireless effort.

⚠️Message from Sheriff Aaron Hanson⚠️:

🙏”Folks, please do not drive around impacted areas to look at storm damage for mere entertainment.

🚗🚦🚙This is causing traffic jams, especially in hard-hit neighborhoods and could slow emergency response if needed.

Severe weather is expected again today, with large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes, and flooding all possible.

Those cleaning up from storms on Friday will want to have a plan for sheltering before storms develop. Even if the storms are not severe, lightning would be a danger.

Please tag a relief fund for the tornadoes in Nebraska

A lot of people have lost their homes and however we can rally for those wanting to help out would be great

One more thing I love about the Lincoln/Omaha/Council Bluffs area: Storms like these are followed up by neighbors with trucks and chainsaws. No one asks who you’re voting for; they just pitch in and help.

God no.

You want to know why we all laugh at the Omadome and the Lincoln Dome? Because of stuff like this.

We thank God every single time people make fun of the tornado that missed major population centers.

Not a chance you’ll see any tornado thru the rain in this storm if you’re north of it as it moves at you. Trust the warnings and take shelter until in passes. Tornado will be on the south edge of the storm if it’s there.

Happy Arbor Day! 🌳

This holiday devoted to tree planting and the well-being of the earth isn’t only worth celebrating because of its great cause. It was born in Nebraska! Its roots are in Nebraska City with founder J. Sterling Morton.

Another way to celebrate: Plant a tree!
