America Agenda is spurring growth in key industries across the country. I enjoyed meeting with Governor Katie Hobbs to discuss how the historic investments from the Inflation Reduction Act are spurring growth and bringing good jobs to communities in Arizona.

Democracy is not just intrinsically good – strong democracy is also good economic policy. We are implementing President Biden’s Investing in America agenda so that no community or worker is left out or left behind.

Democratic principles and institutions can drive economic policymaking that meets the needs of people. Robust democracies are accountable to their citizens and give the public important tools to ensure policymakers are delivering for them.

Many question whether democracy can deliver or argue that chipping away at democracy is a fair or even necessary trade for prosperity. Let me be crystal clear: They are wrong. Undercutting democracy undercuts a key foundation of sustainable and inclusive growth.
