Had a great day at Windsor celebrating the Scouts day of achievement and recognition for Kings Scouts, award holders and coronation medal recipients. It was lovely to catch up with so many friends from down the years and welcome new team members into our Scouting family.

Due to work commitments & a period of leave I have not been able to listen to the BBC Radio 5 Live breakfast show with Rachel Burden & Rick Edwards since mid December last year. How refreshing it was to listen to today’s show driving into the office - it feels like I have come home.

Very excited - Tomorrow I am heading into my office at the home of Scouting for the first time since mid December.

So purchasing tickets for Cairo at Port Said is quite complex and time consuming - They clearly don’t issue many tickets - the local rate is 65 Egyptian Pounds and the tourist rate is 500 Egyptian Pounds - but gives enough time for tea from the very welcoming and hospitable staff

There is no 🐘 @[email protected] on the 14.20 Cairo to Port Siad but refreshments were provided alfresco - Andrew James Thorp 🇬🇧 made friends and made the journey go that bit quicker
