Year 4 held their weekly class #council meeting where they discussed #PE . They shared the importance of regular #exercise and skills they have gained this year. 📢🗣️ #Fitness #PhysicalEducation

#EYFS have been learning the concept of height in #Maths . They constructed towers with their peers and used mathematical vocabulary to compare differences. 📏📐 #Maths #Numbers

Year 2 have been reading the #story , 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers as part of their BIG SIX BOOKS. They also took a copy of their own to read during #literacy and their free time. 💭✍️ #Writing #English #Reading

#EYFS have enjoyed immersing themselves in the story ‘We're Going On A Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. Inspired by the #book , they recreated the forest scene using #natural materials. 🐻📚 #Literacy #Reading

Year 1 investigated how shadows form in #Science . They shone #light onto a variety of opaque, translucent, and transparent objects to find out which object would cast the darkest shadow. 💡🥼 #Experiment #Science #Light

Year 5 enjoyed their #gardening workshop where they learnt all about #pollination . They labelled the inside of a flower and even dissected their own! 🌻🌼 #Flowers #Nature #Science

Southwold celebrated #EarthDay with an #EcoTeam assembly. They launched their 'Saving Water' #competition and are encouraging all pupils to participate, with winning posters to be showcased on school sinks!

Year 1 have been learning how to form a 'whole' in #Maths . They enjoyed forming a whole #shape using equal #quarters , recognising that all four parts need to be the same, equivalent size. ⚪️🔢 #Shapes #WholeNumbers #Maths

The #Eco Team headed out into the local area for a litter pick. They surprisingly found plastic bowls, empty crisp packets and more that had been discarded on the street. Did you know that it can take years to degrade, causing harm to #wildlife and #habitats . ♻️🌎 #Recycle #Green

Year 6 loved investigating whether a net would form a cube in #Maths . They put their predictions to the test by cutting out #2D nets and making them into #3D cubes. 🧊🔢 #Maths #Shapes #Cube
