Today the LHC has directed the ECP to appoint Election Tribunals for Punjab in line with the nominations of the CJ LHC. The court has also held that only the CJ LHC has the lawful authority to mark and allocate cases between the various Tribunals.

Another evening of blatant violation of the election laws with all administration functionaries conveniently inaccessible. This is how elections are stolen. If the intent is to declare actual result, then they should follow the law and let candidates in.

So effectively we will subsidise inefficient DISCOs by discouraging consumers from investing their own money to generate clean renewable energy. This is the way to not make policies with an eye on the future.

Appeared today on behalf of salman akram raja against ECP's failure to notify 6 judges nominated as Election Tribunals by the CJ LHC and the right claimed by the ECP to mark cases. Court issued notice to ECP & restrained the fixation of SAR’s election petition in the interim.

Very strange of the Judicial Commission to not consider amending its own rules for appointment of judges in anticipation of a constitutional amendment that is yet to even be presented let alone passed.
