The shaking is your warning in #Saanich . If you're near the ocean & feel an earthquake, Drop, Cover & Hold On! Then move out of the tsunami hazard zone.

Did you know that BC’s coast is divided into five tsunami notification zones? 🌊

It is important understand where the different zones are located, especially if you travel to other areas of the coast.

Today is the start of #TsunamiPreparednessWeek !

An earthquake is a natural warning sign that a tsunami could be coming. Spend some time practicing what to do when you feel an earthquake: DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON, then move to high ground.

Today also kicks off National Volunteer Appreciation Week!
