I KNOW tipping is optional, but why don't people tip on a haircut?

@wannacub If I can't afford to tip a service person 20% I don't use the service.

Rural Scientist @wannacub How is it that the customers responsibility? Build the price into the service and make the bosses pay a full living wage. If you own your own service, charge the price you want people to pay.

It is unfair both for the client and the employee. ☹️

If a waitress has to rely on tips, it means that on a slow day she comes to work without earning anything. It's like saying that she's giving her boss her time for free. Time she could have spent with her kids. Time is so precious, no one should be robbed of it.
