Water appears to have crested at Florence & has been dropping since 5am. For local residents, our pumphouse has been a great indicater to scale the Sydenham River. 2nd board on pumphouse is the highest I can remember ever & we hit top of first board last night. @SCRCA_water

Animal Who Dunnit with @SCRCA_water at Henderson Conservation area was so much fun! Students @QESarnia learned about raccoon, rabbit, coyote, fox, deer, and owl tracks, scat, sounds they make and what they eat. As well as hibernation vs migration.

Stormwx1 Weather Underground Nothing from @SCRCA_water so far. If Conservation Authorities have legislative Authorities to issue flood warnings they should have a meteorologist on staff. Sydenham River at Alvinston is approaching levels last seen this past Spring during the freshet.

@SCRCA_water Indeed. Also, I meant to contact you about something related. The plant shown partly submerged is invasive periwinkle that escaped from an adjacent property. I imagine with the storm surge, the plant could tear and spread downstream. You guys might wanna remove this patch?
