yesterday, as i was moving the final things out of my home following my eviction, a guy turned up who turned out to be the new tenant.

turns out the landlord has bumped the rent by *£700*. a 30% increase.

the greed and cruelty of landlords in this country is outrageous.

ONs data shows that private rent inflation - which is running at 9.3 per cent - is now higher than the overall rate of inflation - 3.2 per cent. Cost of living crisis is getting worse for private renters NOT better - chart is from Joseph Rowntree Foundation
