Roman Cabanac Casualties are not necessarily deaths. If you want to compare SA casualty numbers you have to include those injured in violent crimes as well.

Attempted Murder - 86 per day.
Murder - 84 per day.
Assault, body harm - 586 per day.

SA - 756 civilian casualties per day

84 people are murdered every day in SA. That is EXACTLY DOUBLE the amount of civilian casualties in war-torn Ukraine every day that has missiles raining down on it and under full scale invasion. SA is a WAR ZONE - but we focus on Gaza.

JSE: In 1995 there were 600 companies listed on the JSE. Now just over 200.
This was the Top40 in 1995. Anglo and the gold miners were huge. Now we do not even have a Gold Mining index anymore.
Murrays & Nampak were Top25 companies and Edcon was the largest local retailer.

DA has cornered the urban, minority vote.

The ANC has cornered the rural, black vote.

Nothing else in common - which is why they should govern together.

Guy got kicked out of Oxford for writing an atheist tract but wrote this. Obviously unlike Dawkins Shelley was a genius but there’s an ongoing issue with people lashing out at religion while purveying a thinly secularised version of religion themselves.

I have given up trying to explain to certain people how well loved Zuma really is by ordinary people of SA. The big question for me is if he would be able to get them to the voting station, elections are mostly about logistics on the day.
