I met this stunning Phidippus audax jumping spider on the Rockefeller University River Campus during lunch today. “Audax” means “audacious”, and for good reason. Here you see this bold little fellow repeatedly attempting to jump on my phone. And look at those iridescent chelicerae! 🤩
