Thank you MassDCR for working with our office to clean and secure an important parcel of land along the Neponset River in Hyde Park. Your work removing trash and construction debris is greatly appreciated! This new fence will also help stop illegal dumping in our neighborhood!

Great to see my City Councilor Enrique José Pepén at today’s Friends of the Hyde Park Branch Library Annual Metting. Have so many fond memories from this library that has served our community for 125 years!

In the last 24 hours:
voted for important $$ for Chapter 90 roads and bridges funding, met with Fairmount CDC on budget issues, attended HP Central River Neighborhood Group to discuss neighborhood issues and, OBTW, said hello to our US Senator Ed Markey. Love this job!

Congratulations to my friend Malika Whitley for receiving a Black Excellence on the Hill award today at the State House! I was proud to nominate her for all her outstanding contributions to our neighborhood, our City and our Nation. Thank you for your service to our country!

A big crowd last night of my neighbors at the Fairmount Housing Development tenants meeting with BHA Administrator Kenzie Bok 白凱欣. We had a thoughtful discussion on neighborhood issues and the Housing Bond Bill. Got to hear firsthand about issue important to Fairmount.

I was proud to stand with my friend Bill Henning and Boston Center for Independent Living at yesterday’s Massachusetts Independent Living Centers Advocay Day at the State House. Amazing organizations that help individuals with disabilities every day!

Another successful Fowl Meadow clean up today in Hyde Park! Always glad to participate in protecting this environmental gem with Keep Hyde Park Beautiful, the Boston Police, E-18, MassDCR, and many others. Thanks to all the volunteers for your important work! Emily Carrara
