I’m concerned by reports that Boeing locked out IAFF I-66 members. I encourage folks to return to the table to secure a deal that benefits Boeing and gets these firefighters the pay and benefits they deserve.

Corey Hill: We did practice strikes. We did pickets. They did chants in the plant, which was unreal. The members walked four, five, six deep into businesses & said, we shop here & we just want to let you know we're in negotiation.

Corey Hill: Job security was a big thing for us because we do have plants in Mexico. Over 15 years, we've seen seven layoffs at our facilities because of that.

Rick: Over 94% of the members voted to ratify this contract.
Corey Hill: We were able to get profit sharing, too--Daimler's number one in class eight industry & business class.

Corey Hill:We got rid of 2-tier last contract, but we had an equality difference in our plants. A welder in a plant that built buses wasn't getting paid the same as a welder in a truck plant, but we were doing the same thing. We were able to get fair wages across the board.

Corey Hill: It's a big win for our membership. They're the ones who did it, the strength, the solidarity across the board. There are six locals in our council, 4 in NC, 1 in TN, 1 in GA.
