The best examples of the success of a #ZeroCovid strategy are Australia, China, New Zealand and Viet Nam. In the most recent data (7-day moving average) their combined number of new cases was 4,080. Adjusted for population, this would be 20 UK cases, not the actual total 47,452.
ZeroCovidNow I'm hearing a lot of 'elimination is impossible, Zero Covid countries are now seeing rising infections, which shows their strategy is failing... etc. etc'. Even from normally sensible commentators.
@JackHurrell_ Stuart Nimmo ZeroCovidNow Except in New Zealand, where it is still proving to be possible. I guess science doesn't apply in New Zealand.
