Talk alone isn’t enough — we need action, and we need it now.

Jason Jenkins was taken from us in an act of senseless violence. I honored the life of Jason in the U.S. House of Representatives and will continue to use my voice to speak out against all forms of hate.

My condolences and comfort for Jason’s family and friends.

When it comes to the southern border, we need real solutions, not partisan stunts.

Plenty of Democrats agree. Plenty of Republicans agree. My neighbors in Central and Northwestern Illinois agree.

Let’s find common ground.

It was great to spend time with Moline Fire Chief Regenwether to talk about ways I can best support firefighters in Congress.

Being present in our communities is important so I can advocate for the right resources that are most important for first responders.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of my colleague, Rep. Donald Payne, Jr.

He was such an enjoyable man to work with. I remember him saying “How’s the weatherman doing?” when we passed on the floor. My thoughts for his family, friends, and constituents.

It's almost Independent Bookstore Day, and I’m celebrating with Kara at the Atlas Collective in downtown Moline.

This is a new LGBTQ-owned shop and inclusive space for everyone. It’s important we shop local and do some book shopping on April 27! 📚🌈

Today I woke up early to send local veterans off to our nation’s capitol with the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.

These flights offer vets free travel to see the monuments that honor their heroism. Grateful to be part of this tradition and hear their stories firsthand. 🇺🇸

I’ve been clear from day one: We must secure the border while allowing a legal pathway for those who want to immigrate to our country by following American law. Full stop.

The Affordable Connectivity Program runs out of funds at the end of April, leaving 1 in 5 households in #IL17 without reliable internet.

We must extend this program to keep costs down and ensure our seniors, students, and families stay online.

Where's the beef?? In Illinois, of course! Where our farmers feed and fuel the world.

Had a great convo with the IL Beef Association on ways to support our cattle farmers in the Farm Bill. Who’s up for a steak on the grill? A “BBQ ALERT” is in effect!

When America stands with our allies around the world, we support the idea that democracy is the greatest form of government.
