Today, more than 1 million PACT Act claims have been granted for veterans across all 50 states.

Starting next year, President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act will cap prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare at $2,000 a year.

Now, President Biden is calling on Congress to cap that cost for every American.

HBCUs are responsible for:

40% of Black engineers,
50% of all Black teachers,
70% of all Black doctors and dentists,
And 80% of all Black judges.

Today I’m proud to announce we’ve invested over $16 billion in HBCUs, the most ever by any Administration.

In the 1950s, the plaintiffs of Brown v. Board of Education were excluded from certain classrooms – but yesterday they stood in the Oval Office.

They're a living reminder that 70 years wasn’t long ago.

For all the progress we’ve made, we still have more to do to combat racism.

70 years ago today, our Nation took a powerful step forward and in the Brown v. Board case the Supreme Court struck down segregation in schools.
This was a big step, but we cannot remain complacent. We have to commit to working every day on ensuring equality in our communities.
