Really bad. Along with gaslighting Americans-- the police never lost their power-- this is a message to lawless elements of the police, telling them he has their back for whatever crimes they commit. Giving a pass for violence is how dictators build up security forces.

Just watch the first two minutes. You hear tasers going off; students are screaming throughout. They are thrown to the ground, assaulted.

We see the police throw students down the stairs as the cops also push away press.

The brave students at Columbia and other universities have held a mirror to the face of the US empire. The state uses extreme force against its own children at home in a futile attempt to crush their dissent against the state's facilitation of a genocide abroad.

It’s quite something that this is how our nation is responding to people disrupting the conscience of the society by saying “mass graves are bad,” “incinerating babies is bad” and “our community and our nation ought not be a part of it.”
