Wearing thick winter woollies, our group of 17 very pleased to see 22 species of birds on Berkshire downs today🩵
These included Corn Bunting and Stone Curlew (Patrick Crowley images) + Grey Partridge, Yellow Wagtail, Linnet, Whitethroat and Skylark

A relatively showy Nightingale singing at Hosehill Lake, Berkshire this morning. Not visible on this clip but it was moving around the oak and giving lengthy glimpses of itself between the leaves. All above the background incl. Wren, traffic, Black-headed gull colony

An cheery 12 turned up in the dark chill for 5.00 am Dawn Chorus walk at Dinton Pastures🩵
Pre-dawn Blackbird, Robin, then Wood pigeon, Mistle thrush, Wren, Blackcap, Chiff-chaff, Reed warbler, + Cuckoo joining chorus. Honking Geese, screeching Parakeets. 35 species seen + heard.

Tiercel B69 taking his turn incubating the eggs...Mrs N must have said yes to a break

The Newbury Peregrines WhatsApp Group (NPWG) have kept a detailed log & it will be at least another 2 weeks incubation before any hatching occurs

Great news from the Newbury BT Nestcam
the temperature got high enough today for the old battery to activate the camera & blast out a few frames

25 of us enjoyed a dry, breezy day at Titchfield Haven yesterday🩵
40+ bird species seen incl Eider ducks, Avocets, Little + Mediterranean Gull, Black-tailed Godwits, Sand + House Martins + Swallows, Marsh Harrier, Sedge Warbler...
We were watched closely by this Canada goose!
