Quite uplifting to see so many young & healthy unfolding ash trees on my walk through the woods today.
I always love to look up at the sun through a canopy of ash leaves. They sieve and rattle the light like no other tree.

Today I revisited this incredible western red cedar (I think!). Remarkably, this appears to be one single tree. It lives in a cemetary at Hinton Ampner in Hampshire.
