Looking forward to this!! #climatejustice for #climatevulnerability in #globalsouth including #southasia . What can #education do?
Was here in spirit and on zoom from my 4am time zone! Worth the early wake-up to hear Dr Joe Abah, OON’s insights on the importance of political will. Education reforms that fail to harness this critical component are just empty promises. The Politics of Education Network (POLED) bringing the conversations💥
Register now for the @CaNDER Research Showcase. A great opportunity to hear the latest research about disability in education and build networks with other researchers.

'I wish all my seminars at Cambridge were like this!'
It was a tremendous honour to host Dr Joe Abah, OON for our The Politics of Education Network (POLED) RM REAL Centre series & receiving excellent feedback from students like the one above! 🧵 1/4
A very big thank you to the REALCentre Cambridge team, Pauline Rose & Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge for the wonderful support, my incredible The Politics of Education Network (POLED) colleagues Onyinye & Regina G. for organising, and all participants (online and in -peson) for your excellent engagement! 4/4
'Politics is focused on how power & control is gained by one group over another but governance is focused on how that power is used.' - Dr Joe Abah, OON
In this lecture, Dr Joe Abah, OON talked about the Theory of Convergent Demand; the intersection between Pressure, Passion & Power.
It is very possible to be pressured & passionate, without the right amount of power, their effects are limited.
Power is crucial for sustainable impact.
Today, I had the honour of meeting Dr Joe Abah, OON
Listening to him speak on the topic “Knowledge is not Power': The Dynamics of Education & Power in Developing Countries” at the seminar organised by the REALCentre Cambridge of the Cambridge University, I’m still in awe of his brilliance… Wow! 🤯
