Am I over thinking Garland’s CIVIL WAR. I mean, aside from being a film about combat journalists, what was the point of it? Really, it was just kind of silly

I don’t read a lot of war history, but if it by Antony Beevor I absolutely will. His book in the Spanish civil war is excellent. One historian’s view, certainly, but it’s totally changed my perspective on the conflict and the reasons that the Republic actually lost
