New owner of Centene (Operose Health/AT Medics) GP surgeries has been operating them without NHS permission since end of Dec. HCRG (ex-Virgin, now owned by private equity) didn't bother to wait for due diligence before taking control of part-completed contracts. ICBs MUST act!

Save CRH Outcome was that the Council & CCG voted NOT to extend HCRG's 7 yr contract to 10 yrs but then extended it for 1 yr to 2025 to allow options appraisal/new procurement process. Bath, Swindon & Wilts ICB now doing the procurement but 'commercial confidentiality' limits public info

BREAKING NEWS: HCRG which bought Centene Corp’s AT Medics/Operose GP surgeries in Nov & was awaiting due diligence permission from commissioners to take over NHS contracts - just went ahead & took control anyway in Dec. TOLD ICBs in March! HCRG = largest provider in England.

🚨 Over 2,000 #NHS buildings older than the NHS itself are failing, with sewage leaks and broken lifts.

These crumbling structures put patients at risk.

We need urgent action to modernise these healthcare facilities!

Blummin heck, in Dec AT Medics part of the Operose Health Group handed over control of scores of GP practices owned by Operose Health to T20Osprey Midco Ltd without telling the NHS! Ownership of Operose Health Ltd transferred from Centene's MH Services International (UK) Ltd subsidiary, to T20Osprey Midco Ltd.

Govt loves to talk about record funding of the NHS

Always ignoring inflation, population growth, the increase in older people & in options for treatment

Then complains that there isn’t treatment for XYZ or why people can’t be seen

I have worked with NHS Practitioner Health for almost a decade. First as a clinical lead and now as a psychiatrist. A CQC-rated Outstanding service. We need to care for our NHS staff so they can care for their patients.

Compare & contrast the pursuit of unpaid family carers in the courts with the leniency given to some MPs who bend the rules to claim inessential accommodation or 'subsistence' costs (you could call them benefits)

Coming off the back of a pandemic, moral injury sky high with services collapsing in front of our eyes, pay and conditions at their worst in 15 years, training bottlenecks - the mental health of drs in this country has never been worse.

This is an absolutely abysmal decision.

After all staff have given during the pandemic - all the trauma & loss - to pull NHS psychological support now is sheer madness.

Govt has simply changed the definition of ‘access’.

The reality is 500 existing NHS practices say they can take on new patients “when availability allows.”

Doctors are voting with their feet after 15 years of pay cuts and worsening conditions. The government need to restore pay now for all doctors. All eyes on the government negotiating with juniors and SAS colleagues and all eyes on the DDRB this year for all of us.
