👏Congratulations to Dr. Mahak Goindani for her successful PhD defense today on “Social Reinforcement Learning”! I can't believe she's already the third student from my lab to do a virtual defense during this pandemic and she won't be the last.
This didn’t make me feel as hopeful as I think it was supposed to, but happy to learn about Lynn Conway and add her to my list of female role models in CS.

GCNs (@thomaskipf, Max Welling ) benefit the most (up to +15% in accuracy)!
Excited to have finally started my (remote) sabbatical at Microsoft Research working with Paul Bennett in MSR AI. Looking forward to putting practice into research and vice versa!
There should be AI umbrellas that use sensors to adjust to (1) height of other pedestrians to avoid poking, and (2) coordinate with other umbrellas on busy sidewalk to provide maximum rain coverage while avoiding collision with each other and street signs. #businesstipoftheday
Last night I had a vivid dream about a recent experiment but woke up before we had results for the last condition. So I tried to go back to sleep to discover how I thought it would turn out. #dreamingscience
