Thank you to Year 5 for spending some time reading their Welsh books to the children in Year 3 this afternoon. We enjoyed listening to the different stories and learning the new vocabulary.

Year 3 have been finding out about William the Conqueror’s Norman invasion. They have used their research skills to compare Cardiff Castle and the Tower of London. We also explored the Bayeux tapestry and used our observation skills to make detailed sketches of it.

Blwyddyn 1 wore odd socks for World Down Syndrome Day. We had lots of fun designing our own odd socks and completed a range of activities to promote the theme ‘End the Stereotypes’. World Down Syndrome Day 21 Plus

That was fun!!! Reception class from Crick Primary popped in for a story and to pick up their World Book Day UK 📚 books. Wonderful monkey impressions and impeccable behaviour from all of these keen beans.

Year 3 have shown that they are ambitious, capable learners and have constructed marshmallow catapults. They discussed how to make sure it was kept a fair test and measured the distance of the payload. We also spoke about which forces would also affect the distance.
