Integrity in politics alive, after all. Rayner follows an earlier precedent set by Starmer himself. Contrast with the behaviour of Conservatives who have received criminal convictions. Some even finished up in House of Lords!!

Starmer will be only the fourth Labour Leader to win a general election in nearly 80 years since the end of the Second World War. Just think about that!

Opinion polls have been telling such a consistent story, and for so long, it will be refreshing to have a real election that can actually change something. All this endless posturing and treading of political water by Sunak et. al. becoming increasingly futile - and damaging.

And this assumes Ukraine would simply abandon all the sacrifices it has made over the last two+ years and roll over at Trump's bidding. Trump too feeble-minded and dim to grasp the lessons of the 1930s.

There are so many tax dodging loopholes waiting to be closed. They are an obvious source of additional revenue to start repairing the damage inflicted on UK public services. I'm surprised that Rachel Reeves has'nt latched onto these numerous possibilities before now.

And here's a prime example of a policy that was evidence-based and paid dividends for struggling families: Sure Start. But, of course, it was dismantled following the change of government in 2010!

Humiliation of a British Foreign Secretary treking to the residence of Putin quisling Trump, cap in hand, in a futile attempt to persuade Trump to do something responsible (support Ukraine) for the first time in his life!

Yet more evidence from Channel 4 News that prisons as currently constituted cause harm and breed crime. We hear ad nauseum the case for greater public sector efficiency. What we really need is more evaluation of effectiveness. Far too much policy violates this basic principle.

We used to thank our lucky stars we were fortunate enough to live in England. But now it has fallen to the bottom of so many international league tables, most worryingly in health treatment comparators.

Cricket ground at Worcestershire CCC one of most scenic in the country. However, because of a riverside location, it has become much more prone to flooding, putting very future of the ground at risk. Just one poignant example of how climate change encroaching on every aspect of our lives.

Right-wing commentariat (and some others) given up on any realistic prospect Tory Party has for salvaging coming general election. So their pitch shifting instead to predicting disastrous failure from a Labour Government. Suppose we have to cut them some slack as consolation.
