pierre laurent MilitaryLand.net Unknown. The Norwegian Home Guard (which leads the training, in cooperation with other branches of the Norwegian defense forces), said that the Ukrainians would be taking some Norwegian gear home with them. Not sure if that applies to the assault rifles.

pierre laurent MilitaryLand.net Keep in mind that all of these students already are Ukrainian soldiers, so they have been issued Ukrainian uniforms and weapons from before. This is not like the initial training in the UK - these are soldiers with some prior experience.

pierre laurent MilitaryLand.net These guys' AK's aren't rusty - they've been picked as soldiers who have shown ability to become NCOs, medics and snipers. I think which rifle depends on teh ammo used by their units. It could be AK-74 or it could be NATO ammo. Many European and US companies make AK ammo.
