Support of Dublin City Council for @IGC2024Dub has been phenomenal since first meeting🙏For anyone around Dublin, our congress flag is now flying along the Liffey so stop by to take a look. With American football in town this week, what amazing profile for our discipline! Geographical Society of Ireland
Not only has Dublin City Council been a stalwart sponsor, they have also helped make the dreams of our @IGC2024Dub Congress Chair 🇺🇦 Niamh Moore Cherry come true 🪄🧚♀️- she's been talking about this since 2016!!
As part of the @IGC2024Dub conference, we have a number of really exciting public events. So, if you are interested in climate and cities, please come along next Monday (follow link for booking. It is free to attend, but places are limited).
The @IGC2024Dub kicked off yesterday, with over 2,000 geographers set to attend over the course of the congress. Lots of our TCD Geography researchers will be involved, with the focus on understanding nature and human society, and all their mutual interactions.
As always, Maedhbh Nic Lochlainn rocking it in their presentation on critical urban research, digital data, and post-crash cities - even getting in a ref to The Wire😀
For anyone at the @IGC2024Dub, don’t miss the City of Care photo exhibit of The Liberties, Dublin in The Helix. The exhibition is a collaboration between Lidia KC Manzo & photographer Pierluigi Cattani Faggion and is focused on the importance of Care in housing & health policies
This is on this evening (Tuesday 27th)… Feels so timely in the context of challenges facing Dublin at present: Chris Morash on real estate, residential space and the literary field - 6.30pm Pearse Library @IGC2024Dub
Philip Lawton @IGC2024Dub We've a few places left and this talk will be informative and accessible to all delivered by Prof. Morash in his own inimical style. Come along this evening!
A few spaces left for this free and engaging public event at Pearse Library this evening, being organised as part of #igc2024dub and hosted by Dublin UNESCO - kicking off at 6:30pm. If travelling from Dublin City University, take the 4 bus from Ballymun Road and alight at Merrion Square 🗺️
The stage is set for the @IGC2024Dub public talk by Chris Morash on ‘Dublin, Literature and Place-Thinning’
Standing room only in Pearse Library this evening to see Trinity College Dublin’s Prof. Chris Morash’ talk on Dublin, literature and place thinning, which is taking part as a public event during #igc2024dub
Fantastic lecture this evening by Chris Morash on Dublin, Literature and Place - perfectly pitched for an audience of Dubliners and geographers from the @IGC2024Dub conference
🎉 I'm incredibly honored to announce that the work done in collaboration with the brilliant photographer Pierluigi Cattani Faggion for my #EU #MSCA project, CITY OF CARE has been given the amazing opportunity to be featured at the @IGC2024Dub with a special photo exhibition!
