Today, Penguins enjoyed a non-uniform day and wore purple in support of Junior Idiopathic Arthritis.

🦡 Badgers class have been consolidating their learning about angles by investigating the angles in their names! We used protractors and our angles knowledge to help us. 🦡

A huge thank you to Helen and Lauren from First Light Festival who came in today to work with Year 4. We are all very excited that we get to sing at the opening of the main stage this year!

Well done to Eddie, Lennon and Fletcher for their recent sports achievements. Eddie has been awarded for his swimming, Fletcher was recognised for his excellent goal keeping skills and Lennon for attending 150 football sessions with his club, great work boys!

This morning in English Meerkats had an experience day and tasted Indian food and dips. They then created a word bank to use in their poetry. Some children said the food was scrumptious, others thought different!

🐝Bumblebees had an active week and enjoyed splashing in puddles and had a fantastic elastic exercise session! #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2024

🐝Bumblebees enjoyed an amazing animal session and they held a snake, millipede, stick insect and leopard gecko!

Meerkats have been creating themed collages inspired by Kurt Schwitters. Some children liked his work whereas others described it as being messy and too busy.

🦡As a reward for winning the assembly attendance award 3 weeks in a row (100%, 100% and 99%) the children in Badgers class voted and agreed with Mrs Carman to have a week of non-uniform.🦡

Koalas have all been awesome this week. They have made us very proud.

Well done to all the children who have been awarded buzz of the week, we heard of some wonderful examples of never giving up and showing respect to each other.

The bears class responded to some work by Giuseppe Arcimboldo whilst listening to some calming music. We use music to help create a calming environment in our classroom and to assist with self regulating our emotions.

This afternoon Meerkats have been discussing how to keep safe in the sun. They then participated in some relaxing yoga and finally enjoyed a few chapters of the class book The Boy Who Grew Dragons. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
