My guess is that ardent supporters of childhood transition, hormone suppression, cross-sex hormones, surgery, even the effects of affirmation and the effects on the household, are vastly ignorant of the realities.

This can't go on indefinitely.

'This isn't happening to toddlers' - It is.
'They aren't doing surgery on kids' - They are.
'Hormone blockers are reversible' - They aren't.
'The science says this helps' - It doesn't.
'The professionals know what they're doing' - They don't.
'Kids are happier' - They aren't.

The majority of that majority will go on to be healthy gay adults. So transitioning children both socially and with drugs is both abusive and homophobic.

You can't simply switch off and on, nor easily reverse, the sort of physical changes that result. And that doesn't address the mental issues that drove it in the first place.
