The tombstone of a graceful lady from Hadrians wall on display British Museum was a surprise as I had never seen it at Tullie on my visits there. Imagine if the missing inscription did say Claudia Severa or Lepidina, the famous friends in the vindolanda tablet.

My favourite piece in the British Museum Legion exhibition is the shield. This is partly because it was found in one of the furthest places away from Britannia and because of its rarity & partly because of its artistry.

Two beautiful urns stand in the glorious gardens of Chiswick House, one with Dionysus and baccantes, the other a reproduction of the Medici vase in the Uffizi in Florence. Made from Coade stone in London.

The theatre at Cartagena , an incredible piece of archaeological investigation and superbly displayed, given what it looked like in 1990.

The old photos shown in the Temple of Diana in are really fascinating. They show how the Palacio de Corbos from 16c incorporated into the temple, was (partially) demolished

The theatre in , constructed in honour of Marcus Agrippa is still amazingly well preserved. The statues in the scaenae frons are replicas of the originals in the National museum of Roman Art
