If you want to PR in the 3200 be honest that you can’t let the pace slow on lap 5, 6, and the first half of lap 7.

You’ve got to go into the race knowing that you’ll be uncomfortable in those laps, so you’ll have to “be comfortable being uncomfortable.”

3 Meet Records fell on the girl's side on Thursday Night. All 3 from Plainfield North Girls T&F. Taylor McClain in the 200. The 4x100 team of Eydenberg, Bradshaw, Poindexter, and McClain. And the 4x400 team of Eydenberg, Poindexter, Russo, and Wenz. Congratulations to the Tigers.

Another good night at the track! 💪🏽

Two of our senior leaders on the distance squad came up with PRs last night at The Hunt. Harlan in the 800 and Tyler in the 1600. They both came back in the 4x400.

Sophomore Stephon Griffin took 1st overall in the high jump last night, with a jump that tied his PR. Big things ahead for Steph!

So proud of the night that Nigel had, great lead legs in both relays, 3rd in the 100 and despite cold and wind a PR in the open 200 to end the night. Coming on strongest when it matters the most.

A useful bit of self-talk is, 'I do hard things.'

To run your best race of the year, you'll have to endure more discomfort than you did in the first few meets of the year.

And...

You can do it!

...because you do hard things.
