Margaret Armour and her husband W.B. MacDougall produced illustrated translations of the Nibelungenlied and Kudrun. A LOT happens in both those narratives, but for some reason, Armour and MacDougall really wanted to make sure they depicted the decapitations. Graphically.

Honoured and excited to have my essay on #FranzKafka and #attention published in this latest issue of Neue Rundschau (S. Fischer Verlage), where Kafka's story 'A Hunger Artist' was first published 1922.
