I had a wonderful learning trip Alfred State College as part of our Humphrey Fellowship program activity at Cornell. 98% of the students who graduate from this College are guaranteed an industry placement. Now, that is what you can call relevant hands-on training.

It warms our hearts to see our children achieve milestones in their childhood development. We take delight in providing foundational learning opportunities for our future stars. Our future and progress as a community truly depend on them.

'Anyango’s 2 children are enrolled in Okere’s school. But she herself had never gone to school until the adult literacy program opened up. The project “has given me hope,” she says. “Now I am learning how to read and write”

I love & and celebrate all the rural women in Okere City every day. I am always amazed by their love, passion, and kindess. Nothing comes close to their strength. If there is anything I could do to multiply their power, I would do it at any cost!

I spent my day cooking and serving local Luo food to friends at as we celebrated . We ate pasted beans, yams & cassava. It felt close enough to home. The poem I read concluded as follows: “May the magnificent color of the crested crane brighten the grey sky”.
