Skin of distal 1/3 of hand & proximal digits supplied by perforating from palmar arterial system.

Common digital arteries, from superficial palmar arch,AS WELL AS,palmar metacarpal arteries from deep palmar arch connect with dorsal metacarpal arterial system&give off perforators

Thyroid Acropachy usually observed after hyperthyroidism treatment,
at which time , patient may be euthyroid or hypothyroid. Always associated with thyroid ophthalmopathy.
Clinically, soft tissue swelling, periosteal reaction, etc. Radiographic manifestations are often diagnostic

Overuse&inflammation of supraspinatus tendon result in DEPOSITION OF CALCIUM within its insertion to humerus causes pain when arm abducted between 50 &130° since it places the inflamed tendon against acromion, lead to cascade of subacromial bursitis, adhesive capsulutis, tendon tear

Extensor Hood

TENDONS OF EXTENSOR muscles of fingers insert into phalanges:

1. At DISTAL end of metacarpal:
They merge to form an aponeurosis (hood),which covers Metacarpal head & Proximal phalanx (dorsal & lat sides)

2. At PROXIMAL phalanx:
divide into bands..

FEMORAL Triangle vs Sheath vs Canal vs Ring:

Contents of FEMORAL TRIANGLE (except femoral n),enclosed in a fascia called FEMORAL SHEATH.

Each structure in femoral sheath enclosed in its own compartment &the most medial is FEMORAL CANAL.

Proximal opening of canal: FEMORAL RING

Hand Muscles divided into 2 groups based on Muscle belly location:

●Extrinsic: M bellies are in forearm.

●Intrinsic: M bellies are within hand:

-Thenar (All innervated by median n.(except for adductor pollicis)
-Hypothenar :ALL innervated by Ulnar n
-Interossei
-Lumbricals

The glenohumeral joint has more freedom of movement than any other joint in the body. The glenohumeral joint allows movements around three axes and permits:
flexion–extension, abduction–adduction, rotation (medial and lateral) of the humerus, and circumduction.

An area of skin innervated by only one nerve is called an 'Autonomous zone'. The attached figure shows autonomous zones of different peripheral nerves:
(A) Radial nerve; (B) Median nerve;
(C) Ulnar nerve; (D) Common peroneal nerve; (E) Sciatic nerve.

♦️PLANTAR ARTERIAL ARCH♦️
Provides dominant vascular supply to digits of foot.

It's formed when LATERAL PLANTAR ARTERY turns medially to interval between bases of 1st & 2nd metatarsal bones, where it unites with deep plantar branch of DORSALIS PEDIS ARTERY.

Lumbar spine = lower back

'LOW BACK PAIN' is classified as ACUTE (a few days to a few weeks) & CHRONIC (lasts for more than 3 months & often gets worse).

Common causes of low back pain & schematic demarcation of dermatoms demonstrated 👍

S curve vs C curve in cervical spine.
Cervical instability from ligament injury causes abnormal forces in the cervical spine. This leads to a loss of lordosis (and subsequently loss of C curve) and eventual cervical kyphosis and an 'S' curve. From: CaringMedical

A wonderful poster about NEUROPATHIC PAIN from Nature Reviews👍Determining whether the pain in question is neuropathic (as opposed to, for example, nociceptive caused by damage to body tissue or other chronic pain syndromes) is important in order to provide appropriate treatments.
