We inducted Siaya County Executive Committee Members on Nurturing Care For ECD.Governor H.E James Orengo & the first lady graced the event with 8 out of 10 CECMs present.We had Key deliberations on sectoral integration & budgeting. Present were PATH, KMET, LREB & the secretariat

'The previous administration has done good work on matters Nurturing Care for Early Childhood Development in Siaya, we don't need to start afresh but to make it better'_H.E James Orengo during the Induction of the Siaya CECMs on NC for ECD.

We are currently conducting a structural engagement of the LREB First Spouses Association in Malindi. The major goal is to find the strategic intervention areas and to further institutionalize the Chapter by identifying the mandate for engagement.

In the meeting, Homa Bay First Spouse, H.E George Wanga- gave presentations on the gender discussion e.g. _how boys/men can interact with empowered girls/women, etc. _ and the key highlights of the Smart Start Initiative. The key is to identify the mandate for engagement.

We were part of the Lake Region Economic Bloc
first ladies' forum; a rallying call for collaboration in addressing issues that affect socioeconomic dev. We introduced them to our Nurturing Care for ECD program and asked them to put children at the top of their agenda. #NyathiEnMwandu

1st Lady Betty Orengo was impressed at how much Siaya had achieved in ensuring every child thrives to full potential and promised to take up the mantle from the former first lady Rosella Rasanga and ensure this is taken up to the next level.

We are happy to have held the Inaugural meeting of the Nurturing Care Programme with the Siaya First Lady Mama Betty Orengo, this brought together members of the multisectoral & executive Committee, Partners, Reps from the National Government, and Departmental Focal Persons.

Glad to visit Yala Sub-county hospital together with Hilton Foundation Smart Start Siaya-"Nyathi en Mwandu" County Government of Siaya Lake Region Economic Bloc PATH Advocacy to monitor the progress of Nurturing Care for Early Childhood program under the patronage of the Siaya first Lady.

We are meeting Teen Mums at Maliera Dispensary in Siaya. This is a mother-to-mother support group platform where all the teen mums and young mothers aged 13 to 25 years meet regularly to learn parental skills as envisaged in the Nurturing Care package. #smartstartinitiative

We have today visited the Siaya County governor Gov. Rasanga AMOTH together with the Hilton Foundation team led by their Vice president Marc Holley.We have deliberations that will ensure all children get the best nurturing care. #SmartStartInitiative
