Quite right. Mel Stride needs to accept responsibility for Department for Work and Pensions failings and pay #WASPI compensation without any delay at all. The only discussion to be be had is the amount to be paid.

I met this week with local #WASPI campaigners to discuss the Ombudsman's report, which has been sent directly to MPs rather than the UK Gvt.

If the PM won't do the right thing, then MPs will need to do it for him. WASPI women deserve compensation, and they need it now.

Incredibly the Age UK Manifesto just published fails to support or even mention the need for speedy compensation for the #WASPI and 1950s women. There are many other major omissions on pensions and social care which weakens the case for all of us.
