Roger Corman, one of the most influential movie directors in my life, has passed away. It was my privilege to know him.He was a great friend. He shaped my childhood with science fiction movies and Edgar Allen Poe epics. I'll miss you, Roger.

Always amazing to me that Roger Corman's Edgar Allen Poe movies with Vincent Price were made on B-movie budgets. The colors and sets look so lavish. R.I.P. Roger.

R.I.P. to Roger Corman, the king of low-budget movies and a filmmaking legend. He had so many great stories... he even smooth-talked his way out of getting killed by the Hell's Angels! Rest In Peace.

Former Looney Tunes animator Frank Tashlin brings his cartoon-crazy sight gags, eye-popping Technicolor art direction, and absurdist pop-culture commentary to ARTISTS AND MODELS (1955)—starring Shirley MacLaine, Jerry Lewis, and Dean Martin. 💘 bit.ly/4bstQG9

Kelly Armstrong really is up there as one of the best modern animators.
She does something no one else does. Go past the layouts and add her own drawings that are far more exaggerated and appealing when freeze framed.

Animator Gene Deitch made the first ever adaptation of THE HOBBIT back in 1966. No actual animation, just moving illustrations, but the paintings are delightfully whimsical. Note that Gollum's name is pronounced 'Goo-Loom.'
