Robert Sapolsky once told me a theory that religions are started by two types of people: 1) OCD types who want to make a lot of rules, and 2) schizotypals who always sort of feel like something is trying to talk to them

McKinsey deploying their crack team of 24 year olds who have never done anything of value to consult with the Chinese military is in fact an incredible work of patriotism.

China's slowing domestic economy makes Chinese producers go look for somewhere else to sell their goods. It also weakens the Chinese currency and thus makes exports more competitive.

This is the kind of picture that gives me hope: Texas is a climate leader, even though its politicians denounce it.

That's because it simply makes economic sense by now and will increasingly do so.

Same reason Trump could not change the demise of coal.

Striking statistic:

It costs 4.5 times as much to build a nuclear power plant in the US as it does in South Korea.

i feel like the craziest generation to live in would be if you’re born in the late 1880s and travel in covered wagon as a child and then when you’re very old in 1969 you see a man walk on the moon on tv

I might be wrong but I think Joe Biden himself is the only person who realizes that he's in real trouble, which is why he keeps pushing executive orders to shut down the border and release 1 million barrels of gas, while everybody on the campaign is in big denial mode

The methods used by Russian propaganda described by a Russian journalist:

β€œI studied at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. We had a military department. In an atmosphere of secrecy, we were taught special combat propaganda - the art of sowing discord
