The recent budget allocated more public money to carbon capture and storage than conservation and biodiversity

This story is wild. Australia doesn’t need *almost all* of its own gas, and Japan doesn’t need it either. They’re reselling it! There’s a global glut. reneweconomy.com.au/japan-does-not…

He's right. And even the judges said the laws were bad and need to be changed.
Plibersek and the Albanese govt, however, have done nothing to fix them, and seem to have put real reforms on the backburner indefinitely.
It's gas all the way baby.

Michael Wesley just proving the protestors' point here. 'The government says we should do this so we have to do it' is exactly the kind of erosion of university autonomy that critics of on-campus military research have long been talking about.

🚨The 'backlash' by ALP MPs 'blindsided' by the gas policy is a stitch-up to protect city seats – and likely coordinated by Albanese's office. Anti-plagiarism software shows 'separate' statements from 'disgruntled' MPs are '88% similar'. Big election issue theklaxon.com.au/uorj

University of Melbourne Deputy Vice Chancellor Michael Wesley says if the university agreed to stop working with weapons manufacturers, next thing they will be asked to stop working with fossil fuel companies…is this the winning argument he thinks it is?

Has anyone read anything on why Furiosa looks (from the clips) like a mid level video game? Over-digitalisation is not visually appealing to me.

Listened to TAS lower house question time today, which now happens without dixers. So much better.
Makes me think dixers should be stopped in every parliament.

Disappointing on so many levels. There is still a massive chasm between what is needed to deliver the commitments made by the Anthony Albanese Government to end extinctions and be nature-positive and the peanuts in the budget. 🥜🥜🥜
