In the space of almost 2 years, the Scottish Greens lost two of its youngest members of its executive (myself included), and more recently we've seen committed activists -- many young also -- decide to leave.
We have work to do if we want to keep the grassroots flame alive.

A senior member of the Greens has quit over the party's handling of education, specifically its failure to fight for the further education sector.

Given the conversations I've had in recent months I'm not remotely surprised to see this happening.

I have made the exceptionally difficult decision to end my membership of the Scottish Greens.

NeilMackay Break up the big councils (Highlands, Aberdeenshire etc) and look to the Swiss cantons for some inspiration (more powers, executive Cllrs, avenues for direct democracy).

Increase number of MSPs, abolish constituencies, introduce open list PR, create new regions suggested by BBS.

The good news is that this stuff doesn't apply in Scotland because education is devolved. The bad news is I already know which MSPs and columnists will be viciously demanding our kids are subjected to it as well.
