Weird wildflowers - on the walk up to BBO Wildlife Trust's Hitchcopse Pit, nr Abingdon look out for the strange Spring Beauty with its cluster of tiny white flowers surrounded by a pair of fused leaved. The sandy soil here is perfect for this plant BSBI: Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre

My first sighting of a male Cheilosia chrysocoma this year BBO Wildlife Trust's Dry Sandford Pit, nr Abingdon. Must look for it at Chilswell Valley nr Oxford as it's often seen there as well. A great mimic of Tawny Mining Bee Gail Ashton πŸ’šπŸͺ²πŸŒ Rory Dimond 🌼πŸͺ°πŸŒΌπŸπŸŒΌπŸ¦Ÿ Steven Falk
