Is the halving good or bad for mining stocks?

Mining stocks have underperformed year-to-date, falling 17% on average. That fits with the historical pattern.

The 2020 halving was the first halving during which publicly traded miners existed. Taking a look at Marathon Digital Holdings (NASDAQ: MARA),
