The cost of compliance through EFRIS is actually the issue, unfortunately that burden had been earlier levied on the trader.

If URA takes on the cost of compliance, I am sure the traders would peacefully use EFRIS.

If this was 2025, the benz house would have stopped, chair brought out for the big man to sit and analyze the situation.

This right here is the problem.

We bring solutions where infrastructure hasn’t been laid down 2 support the solutions.

Power is never stable, we don’t have stable internet even here in the capital city. But they want the trader to suffer the consequences of their incompetence

I don’t think traders would be striking over EFRIS if indeed it’s just for tax compliance.

There are bigger issues there in and EFRIS is just a trigger point.

Imagine if taxes collected were used 4 better roads on which they transport their goods, and better public services!

EFRIS is a tax! Vs EFRIS is not a tax!

Make us ordinary people understand, what is EFRIS? What is it’s role and importance in tax collection/compliance?

Then, why are traders/businessmen striking b’se of this EFRIS if it is not bad?
