All across NYC you will see the many contributions and legacies of our diverse Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.
From Chinatown to Flushing, Parkchester, and everything in between, we celebrate them this #AANHPIHeritageMonth , and all year-round.
NEW: The city has launched Operation Padlock to Protect” to shut down illegal cannabis shops.
The initiative comes after Mayor Eric Adams successfully advocated the state to grant municipalities the regulatory authority to close stores without a license.

A few weeks ago, we announced a plan to weed out illegal smoke and cannabis shops — NYC SHERIFF, @NYPDNews, and @HelloDCWP hit the streets to get it done.
We're big supporters of the legal cannabis industry, but if you're going to break the law, your shop is going up in smoke.
During Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we recognize and celebrate the diverse cultural heritage and valuable contributions of AANHPI communities.
Special thanks to NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission Commissioner Do for his inspiring words at our opening event today!
